“I recommend this magazine to any pregnant mother wishing to have a peaceful, natural birth experienceâ ~Kate Tully, Author of Peaceful Birth, Peaceful Earth
âFinally a magazine worth reading! Iâm a big âeducationâ person so I love reading about new studies etc. that come out. I did love the section talking about âlove hormonesâ so oxytocin etc. I canât remember specifics but I directed a pregnant friend of mine to that article.
{The difference} Itâs about birth! Lol. And not the âfear mongeringâ birth junk you see in parenting magazines here in Canada. My hubby always jokes that I cannot read/see anything pertaining to birth without getting annoyed by the inaccuracies and negative tone. This magazine is naturally minded and empowering. It frames birth as an experience, not something women are forced to endureâŚbut something weâre blessed to do!
I swear every time I read it my uterus aches hahaha. My second LO is only 6 months old, but her birth was amazing. Everything I could have hoped for. And when I read the magazine it reminds me how special it is to experience birth and I get excited to get to do it again. Makes me feel hopeful for the next generation of womenâŚsociety’s view of birth is changing for the better. A publication like this existing is proof of that. Makes me feel happy for my own daughter, I hope she never has to overcome the hurdles I did to have the birth she deserves.”
~ Courtney Gauthier-Cooper (Mother, Canada)
A very refreshing and enlightening perspective! {Beautiful words all the way from New York!!!!!!! }
Feedback from Helen Zee, Women’s Health and Fertility Specialist
âThrough my clinical rotations, I have come to realize how medicalised childbirth is in the New York healthcare system, and I have found it very alarming and disconcertingâŚ..
Although, I understand that interventions are warranted when medically necessary, I know that most interventions may cause more harm than good, and more importantly, they disrespect the natural process of birth and to me, thatâs a potential safety breach in and of itself.
I really enjoyed reading the articles in your Empowering Birth Magazines. They provide a very refreshing and enlightening perspective on this topic and I plan to purchase more of them in the future. Thank you for the work you do! I hope it opens the eyes and minds of others, especially where I live.â
With love and thanks, Nicole (Long Island, NY, USA )
âI love it! I particularly enjoyed the Birth Plan article â it was excellent and the most comprehensive article I have seen on the subject, I learnt new things myself. Lots of good content and not âlighweightâ at all (some pregnancy/parenting mags are a bit too simple I think). Congratulations.â ~ Simone Surgeoner
