womens health australia magazine cover

Look what just landed on my desk thanks to my book spotting fairy Meghann McPherson Birks! I had completely forgotten about this so it really came as a nice surprise…..And while I can’t take credit for “Your Sexiest Bum Ever” (complete with arrow in case you couldn’t find it LOL) I did get a COVER mention {Pregnancy Special: Your healthiest happiest bump p135} + feature inside on “Show me how to….Build a bubble of peace when people keep telling me All The Things That Will Probably Go Wrong.”…including a mention of my book A Modern Woman’s Guide to a Natural Empowering Birth…..

BIG Thanks to Meghann and Women’s Health Magazine Australia!!!!!

Was such fun writing this lighthearted piece and I think many women can relate 🙂

Show me how to….Build a Bubble of Peace when people keep telling me All The Things That Will Probably Go Wrong.

Keep your calm with the aid of this advice from Katrina Zaslavsky, author of A Modern Woman’s Guide to a Natural Empowering Birth.

You don’t have to listen. Every pregnant woman should be given a t-shirt that says, “Nobody asked for your opinion.” If someone launches into a birth horror story, try saying “Shhhhh….baby is listening!” If they persist, you can walk (or waddle) away.

Be aware of subtle negativity in Hollywood depictions of birth and family anecdotes. Seek out positive stories, and consider hiring a doula who can help shield you from the negativity. Toss What to Expect if it’s freaking you out. Instead try Buddhism for Mothers and Jacinta Tynan’s Mother Zen.
